Every job has its code and everything adds up
GControl codes quote and job information in a standard way, so it can be classified by year, customer and type of activity.
Each quoted job carries its quoted labour and associated materials, broken down into the sections and line items you define. Once the quote is approved, the job is open for allocations: the workers' work reports and the materials assigned to it. And each job issues its own invoices and delivery notes.
02Work reports
One report that does two jobs
Work reports are entered and managed from the Windows application or from the app, and serve two purposes: each worker's time record and the breakdown of those hours by job and activity.
Rate card by job grade
Each hour is valued according to the worker's job grade. That way each job is charged its cost, and there is a basis for each person's pay.

03Material deliveries and stock
Materials reach the job by three routes
And each route charges the cost where it belongs, in the categories and line items you set up.

Direct purchase for the job
A delivery from an outside supplier assigned to the job: its cost is charged directly.

From your warehouse
The supplier is your own company: it is taken out of stock and charged to the job.

By allocation
A stock adjustment is allocated across the active jobs that use that material.
Purchases not assigned to any job go into stock under the line items and articles you define. And at any time you have the stock valuation report.
04Mobile app
Clock in and report from the mobile
The start and end of each working day, with predefined or custom breaks, at the company or at the customer's site. The office sees it in real time and prints the day's signed timesheet.

Which companies is GControl for?
For companies that work job by job and need to know what each one costs them: assembly, industrial maintenance, installations, structures, technical services… with their own staff, work reports and materials.
How is the cost of each job calculated?
From the hours on the work reports, valued using the rate card for each job grade, plus the materials delivered directly to the job and the materials allocated from stock across active jobs.
Can the work reports be used for payroll?
Yes. Work reports serve two purposes: each worker's time record, to automate payroll, and the breakdown of those hours by job and activity, for cost analysis.
What happens to materials bought for the warehouse?
It stays in stock. It can later be delivered to a specific job, or adjusted: the system allocates that shrinkage across the active jobs that use the material. And you always have an up-to-date stock valuation.
Can workers clock in from their mobile?
Yes. With the app they record the start and end of their working day and their breaks, at the company or at the customer's site, and fill in their work reports. The office sees everything in real time and gets the signed timesheet.
